You need the certificate. Not a new hobby.
Nobody sits the DELF B1 for fun. There is a form, a deadline and something riding on it. If one of these is you, this was built for you.
The 10-year carte de résident
Since January 2026 this card is the one that asks for B1 exactly — A2 is not enough, and B2 is more than the file needs. If this is your goal, B1 is not a stepping stone. It is the requirement.
A job that wants it on paper
An employer, a professional body or a promotion that will not move without a recognised certificate. Your spoken French may already be fine; what is missing is the diploma that proves it to someone who has never met you.
A programme with a language floor
Course entry, an exchange, a placement or an assistantship that sets B1 as the minimum. The DELF is a national diploma with no expiry date, so once it is done it is done — for this application and every one after it.
Your French is probably fine. Your preparation isn't.
Everything is in French
The official material explains the exam in the language you are still learning. You end up guessing at the instructions instead of learning the method.
Nobody shows you the grid
Examiners mark against fixed criteria. Almost no candidate has read them, so they spend their effort on the things that earn the fewest points.
One weak section sinks you
You pass at 50/100 — but score under 5/25 in any single section and you fail outright, however good the rest was. Most people learn this too late.
Five modules, every part of the exam.
Each module pairs a video lesson with the workbook you practise on. Everything downloads, and it is yours for life.
The exam blueprint
The four sections, how each is marked, and the elimination rule that quietly fails candidates who do not know it. Then a six-week plan telling you what to do each day.
Listening
How the audio is built, and the Two-Listen Strategy: what to catch on the first play, what to hunt on the second. Then two complete exams under real conditions.
Reading
Reading is a race against the clock. The skim-then-scan method, and how to spot the distractor answers built to trap you — including the ones that quote the text back at you.
Writing
More than half the marks are for structure, not vocabulary. You get the four-paragraph frame that works for any prompt, the official grid decoded, and graded model answers.
Speaking
The oral frightens most candidates, yet it is the most predictable section once you know its three parts. Walk through each one, with role-play cards and model answers.

Antoine L.
I am a native French speaker from Paris and I have taught international students for years. I know exactly where English speakers get stuck, and how to explain French so it finally lands.
I built this because I kept watching capable students fail the DELF B1 — not because their French was weak, but because nobody had told them, in plain English, what the exam actually rewards.
Taught by someone they keep coming back to.
Antoine is a great teacher! My 10 year old son enjoyed learning French. He is very patient and kind. Merci, Antoine! :)
Antoine is very patient, and his lessons are consistently fun and engaging. I always look forward to our sessions. I also appreciate how he adapts each lesson to my learning style, which really helps me learn more effectively.
Antoine is a patient and professional teacher. His explanations are clear and his teaching style is very effective. Highly recommended!

Before you buy.
Requirements differ by country and change from year to year, and this is not legal or immigration advice. Confirm your own level against the official source for your situation before booking anything.
What we do not refund is the month you are in — the method is delivered in full the moment you join, and sessions hold real time in a real calendar. Unused sessions roll over while you are subscribed, and the method stays yours permanently even if you leave after one month. This does not affect any rights or refunds required by applicable law.
